History

Metaltaglio was born in 1962 from the creativity of Mr. Sergio Savio. The company from Arese (MI) produces artistic brass decorations for the production of chandeliers and classic furniture . Baroque, linear and simple Greek forms, made used to satisfy the testes and ornamental needs of the time.

The high quality of its production, appreciated both in Italy and worldwide, allows the company to satisfy the numerous client requests. In 1971, Mr. Sergio received the “Ad Honorem” Exports Club award on Campidoglio.

Around the first half of the 80s, Mr. Savio’s company is passed on to his son Renato. The company also specializes in the production of structures for ceiling light fixtures to meet the big request of the American market. In 1988 Metaltaglio took over its competitor F.lli Cigoli, becoming the current Metaldecor.

In this way, the company begins its production in artistic metal decorations that can also be applied to interior design in general and the creation of gift items.


Finally, to meet the high demands of new tecnology, his son Sergio has enable the company to also specialize in the following product lines through software CAD-CAM 3D and special machine CNC whit high speed.


Metaldecor, thanks to the hard work and experience of three generations of the Savio Family, has become today one of the Italian Companies that contributes distinguishing taste to the interior design industry.
